The Bushnell Woman’s Club met Monday, February 9, 2026 at 7 p.m. at Tellers. This month’s speakers were from the MDH Hospice Program. They explained how Hospice works for patients and their families with their main goal of providing compassionate care.
JoEllen Pensinger, president, called the meeting to order with fourteen ladies answering roll call question, “What is your favorite TV show?” The secretary and treasurer’s reports were given and accepted. JoEllen reported a program change for the March meeting. Rose Elam will be presenting a program in Recycling. It was reported that member, Beth Pierce, had fallen and injured her shoulder. The ladies wish her a speedy recovery. Jane Zarello reported the Children’s reading time at the library time had been changed from 2:30 to 3:30 and more children were attending.
JoEllen reminded the Nominating Committee to start working on the 2026-2027 slate of officers to be presented at the April meeting. She also reminded the May Outing Committee to start looking for ideas for the May outing to be presented at the April meeting. JoEllen said she would check into the Woman’s Club to be RR Crossing guards at the May Day Play days and Fall Festival for this spring and summer.
The ladies will be welcoming Cindy Ridle and Ashtyn Chandler as new members of the Bushnell Woman’s Club.
The Bushnell Woman’s Club next meeting will be Monday, March 9, 2026 with Jada Wetzel, Bev Powell and Linda Louthain as hostesses. The ladies were reminded to bring food items for the Bushnell Food Pantry.
