Ruth Ann “Ruthie” Dildine, 76, of Industry passed away at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Troy Manor in Troy, Missouri. She was born on October 21, 1949 in Macomb to Harry Wendell and Annalea Heffner Coakley. She married John Wayne Dildine on February 16, 1968 in Industry. He passed away on October 1, 2017. She is also preceded in death by her father; one sister, Katie Icenogle, daughter-in-law, Megan Dildine and one sister-in-law, Mina Dickinsin.
Ruthie is survived by her mother, Annalea Coakley of Industry, her children, Belinda Gomez of Industry, Waynette (Carl) Bates of Elsberry, Missouri and John Dildine of Adair; eight grandchildren Jessica (Jeremy) Nell of Elmwood, Cody Markley of Table Grove, Erica (Ryan) Lashbrook of Rushville, Angel Sabino of Industry, A.J. (Elva Sutton) Ruiz of Carthage, Emma (Tyler Nichols) Dildine of Springfield, Ethan Dildine of Adair and Emerson Dildine of Adair, nine great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Janet Ray and brother-in law, Ronnie Dildine.
Ruthie lived in the Industry area most of her life. She grew up on a farm and loved being outdoors. She had a deep love for pigs. She loved gardening, canning, sewing and running the car show. She would often be seen walking her German shepherd, Sarge around Industry. She worked as a cook at Western Illinois University for many years and later for DHS in Rushville before her retirement. She was a breast cancer survivor and was a huge advocate for breast cancer awareness. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the Industry Assembly of God Church with Pastor Randy Burwell officiating. Visitation will be held from Noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the church. Burial of will be held in the Industry Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the HSMC New Animal Shelter Project.
