Spoon River College will be offering a “Youth Mental Health Workshop” course on Thursday, February 26 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the Spoon River College Community Outreach Center in Macomb.
Join Shelby Carlson from the University of Illinois Extension and get ready to gain a basic understanding of mental health and how it affects young adults just like you! Participants will engage in hands on coping strategies and develop ways to reduce the stigma around mental health.
This course is for students entering 7th – 12th grades and there is a $10 fee to attend. Class will be held at the SRC Outreach Center located at 2500 East Jackson St. in Macomb and pre-registration is required.
