The Macomb High JV boys basketball team recently played in a number of rescheduled contests.
On Jan. 31, the Bombers played a pair of games at Camp Point Central that were originally scheduled for Dec. 13, but postponed due to wintry weather.
The Bombers squared off with Beardstown, defeating the Tigers 51-27.
MHS opened a 17-8 lead after one period on the way to building a 29-12 halftime advantage.
Macomb led 40-23 heading into the final quarter. Luke Chapla topped MHS with 15 points. Levi Helling added eight points, followed by Corey Robinson with seven points.
Cameron Keene and Carter Van Vleet added five points each with Kollin Knupp and Arlo Hill tallying four points each.
Sam Potter added to points for the Bombers. Ashten Guzman topped Beardstown with 12 points. The Bombers also faced host Camp Point Central, dropping a 36-33 decision to the hosts.
Robinson topped Macomb with 14 points, including four 3-pointers.
Chapla was next with six points, followed by Knupp with five points, Helling with four points and Keene with three points.
On Wednesday evening, the Bombers hosted Illini West in a game that was originally scheduled for Jan. 23, but postponed due to weather issues. The visiting Chargers recorded a 55-43 victory. Illini West grabbed a 13-10 lead after the opening period and built on its advantage the remainder of the game. The Chargers led 28-22 at halftime and 48-39 after three quarters. Robinson topped MHS with 11 points, followed by Knupp with nine and Chapla with eight. The trio combined for eight 3-pointers. Keene added seven points, followed by Helling with six and Jayden Lindsey with two. Caleb Schreacke, Eli Bisby and Liam Murphy all reached double figures for Illini West, finishing with 17, 12 and 11 points respectively.
