Three Members of the Bushnell-Prairie City Junior High track teams captured titles in their respective events at the Illinois Elementary School Association Class 1A State Finals held Friday and Saturday at Eastside Centre in East Peoria.
Marryn Ferguson tied for top honors in the girls eighth grade division of the pole vault.
Landon Lear also won the pole vault in the eighth grade boys division.
The third state champion was seventh grader Hazel Farwell in the shot put.
In the team scores, B-PC finished third in the girls eighth grade division with 31 points.
The eighth grade boys tied for fourth with Champaign St. Matthew, finishing with 25 points.
The seventh grade boys posted a score of 14.5 points to finish 11th as a team, while the seventh grade girls tied for 15th in their division with 13 points.
Results for B-PC included the following.
Eighth Grade Girls 100-meters - Marryn Ferguson, second, 13.13 seconds (second in prelims, 13.54).
200 - Ferguson, third, 26.85.
100 hurdles - Ferguson, second, 16.42 (second in prelims, 17.11).
Shot put - Scarlett Countryman, 13th, 8.22-meters (26-feet, 11.75-inches).
Pole vault - Ferguson, tie for first, 2.94m (9-7.75).
Eighth Grade Boys 400 - Charles Rudolph, seventh, 58.00.
110 hurdles - Rudolph, fourth, 17.07 (sixth in prelims, 17.46).
4x200 relay - B-PC (Keegan Gillette, Dexx Fenner, Landon Lear and Rudolph), eighth, 1:47.34.
Shot put - Rylan Ford, sixth, 11.51m (37-9.25) and Ethan Hyde, 12th, 11.06m (36-3.5).
Discus - Eli Ferguson, 12th, 33.62m (110-3).
High jump - Rudolph, tie for 13th, 1.56m (5-1.25).
Pole vault - Lear, first, 3.32m (10-10.75) and Gillette, fifth, 3.08m (10-1.25). Seventh Grade Girls 4x100 relay - B-PC (Libertie Belless, Emma Hyde, Addilyn King and Briella Pence), sixth, 57.21.
Shot put - Hazel Farwell, first, 9.17m (30-1).
Seventh Grade Boys 100 - Patrick Raines, eighth, 13.08 (eighth in prelims, 13.31).
200 - Raines, ninth, 26.70. 4x100 - B-PC (Logan Akers, Zaedin Hart, Hunter Thompson and Raines), seventh, 53.62.
Shot put - Hart, fourth, 11.84m (38-10.25).
Pole vault - Kevin Robinson, fifth, 2.20m (7-2.5).
Long jump - Thompson, sixth, 5.03m (16-6).
