A 19-year-old Adair man is lodged in the McDonough County Jail awaiting extradition to LaSalle County, Illinois, on a three-count arrest warrant for traveling to meet a child, solicitation to meet a child and criminal sexual abuse.
Harley S. Brown was identified as a suspect during the months-long investigation. According to a press release from the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office, on Oct. 12, 2025, the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office received a complaint of an adult male who traveled, to LaSalle County, to allegedly engage in sexual acts with a minor. The sheriff's office investigation division, along with the LaSalle County State's Attorney's Office, investigated the incident.
On Jan. 27, a three-count arrest warrant was issued, and Brown was taken into custody at his Adair residence by U.S. Marshals from the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.
