The Bushnell-Prairie City High School softball squad wrapped up its regular season Thursday, dropping a 13-0, five inning decision at Stark County.
B-PC ended regular season play with a record of 2-24, while Stark County moved to 13-13.
The Rebels took control in the opening inning, scoring 10 runs. Stark County added three runs in the fourth inning.
B-PC managed just one hit, a single by Natalie Willey with two outs in the fifth. The only other base runner for the Spartans was Jamea Perry, who walked with two outs in the third.
Stark County had just four hits, but also took advantage of six B-PC errors, along with 10 walks and two hit batters.
Triniti Williams struck out two with seven of the 13 runs charged to her being unearned.
Brooklyn Ostrowski struck out nine in her five innings of work. She threw 74 pitches, 50 for strikes.
Taylor Price and Jacey Endress each had a hit with two runs batted in and a run scored for Stark County.
Katie Grinnell, Abby Nagode and Kenna Newton each scored twice for the Rebels.
B-PC jumped into Illinois High School Association Class 1A Regional play Monday, heading to Monmouth to face United (4-27).
The two teams squared off in Bushnell on Mar. 26 with the Red Storm winning 15-12.
The winner advances to play top-seeded and state-ranked West Central in Tuesday’s semifinal at Abingdon.
The Heat (28-6) is currently ranked No. 4 in Class 1A by the Illinois Coaches Association.
Wednesday’s semifinal has host Abingdon- Avon (13-18) facing West Prairie (7-19).
The title game is scheduled for Friday.
