The Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce received a phone call this morning from one of our local banks, alerting us that they received two (2) counterfeit $100 bills in their night deposit. This came in from over the weekend, and was from two (2) separate businesses.
They are both Series 1974 from the Federal Bank of Chicago, with Serial #G36231879A. Please exercise due diligence in inspecting any $100 bills coming into your business. If you come across any on your own, please confiscate and hold, as they will need to be turned over to the proper authorities, ie the Secret Service.
