Let Trinity Academy do the cooking Saturday, Feb. 21, and find some goodies and enjoy some live entertainment at the same time.
Trinity Academy, 306 E. South St. in Industry, will host its annual chili supper, “Legacy and Light,” beginning at 4:30 p.m., Feb. 21, along with a silent auction and live music. According to Trinity Academy Administrator David Murray, the event is the academy’s largest annual fundraiser, with all proceeds going toward the school’s students and programs.
“Nearly half of the cost of educating students at Trinity Academy is made possible through community generosity beyond tuition, and this event plays a critical role in sustaining that support,” Murray added.
“This chili supper continues a long-standing tradition in the Industry community that began well before the school itself.”
The fundraiser, which is a free will donation event, will feature chili, hot dogs, chips and a variety of desserts.
Local businesses and donors have provided a variety of items for the silent auction, which will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the highest bidders closing at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Additional activities include a cake walk and family art room.
“The event offers a welcoming space for all members of the community, alumni, families, neighbors and friends to gather to share a meal, reconnect with one another and supporting the work of educating children in our community,” Murray said.
