Trinity Academy: Growing Roots in the Community

Trinity Academy, which was established in 2014 as a gift-supported, classical Christian school in 2014 to partner with families in the education of their children, is now the permanent owner of its school property in Industry along Highway 136.

The school was founded as a pilot program by a group of families nearly 12 years ago to provide a Christ-centered education, and later, leased the former Industry Elementary School at 306 E. South Street. As of Jan. 8, the academy is now the owner of the academy's building, said David Murray, Trinity Academy administrator.

'The building is more than walls and classrooms. It is a place where families gather, joy-filled friendships are formed, and the community comes together,' Murray shared. 'Owning its building allows Trinity Academy to continue this work for generations. The school looks ahead with gratitude and hope, committed to deepening its roots in Industry, providing a stable, welcoming place where children can thrive, families can partner in learning, and the broader community can gather to celebrate and support the next generation.'

The Pre-K-12 academy currently serves 87 students, from four counties across a 60-mile radius. According to Murray, the academy features classical, content-rich instruction integrating Bible, literature, writing, math, logic, history, Latin, science, fine arts and physical education. Through a hybrid learning model that includes classroom instruction, with 24 teachers and support staff, three to four days per week with parent-supported off-campus study the remaining school day(s).

'Our founding families sought to create a school rooted in Christ-centered academic excellence, offering a classical curriculum while leaving final doctrinal teaching to families and local churches,' Murray explained.

Murray shared that the mission of Trinity Academy 'is to provide classical education combining a Christ-centered focus with academic excellence. (Proverbs 2:6)' Its core values include wonder, responsibility, wisdom, kindness, integrity and legacy.

'From humble beginnings with eight students in 2014, Trinity Academy has grown steadily while remaining committed to classical Christian education,' Murray added. 'The school continues to be a hub for both rigorous learning and community engagement, anchored in Christ and dedicated to preparing students to live with wisdom, virtue and purpose. Every subject, from Latin and literature to science and mathematics, is taught with the conviction that all truth is God’s truth.'
