I need to hire Linda Ford! Thursday, three ladies from the Smithfield area made plans to come to visit Plymouth Rock Antiques. We all had lunch at Rudy’s then they came to shop. Was a nice afternoon and I hope they enjoyed the day and will return. Later Thursday Linda, who had taken photos of my Fulton County history books, put the photos on face book. I soon got a call asking me to hold two of them. Seems I had a copy of the only Fulton history the gentleman was missing. Saturday three gentlemen came in to buy all the Fulton County history books. Thank you Linda and thank you to the customers who drove over. Now I must say that I still have many local history books. Many on Hancock and McDonough counties and much more.
Was sorry to hear of the passing of Sara Huseman. We taught together many years at Central. I also learned that Pastor Ron Graham had passed. Have known him for many years. He loved music. He also rode a motorcycle. How many pastors do you know “dressed to the nines” in motorcycle gear and who rode an always sparkling clean bike.
These people will be missed.
Called Ameren as a tree behind my store was eating the power line. A gentleman showed up very quickly. Was disappointed to find the tree still in the lines that evening but the next day the problem was corrected. Thank you.
Usual sort of week-haircut, car appointment, bill paying, grocery shopping, check books to balance and more. Some warm days and some cold and blustery days which I guess we can expect in January in Illinois.
Got two heated kitty houses as I have four kitties in an outdoor garage and thought they might enjoy a warm bed.
Thus far they have played in it, swatted each other in the door ways and sat on top of it. Guess they are not too cold.
Choice. We have choice. Would seem that Adam and Eve had it pretty good but they exercised choice. Have to wonder what type of world it would be had they not. Puff had a good home. She was loved and had all the food she could eat but she also had to deal with Sal and perhaps this was a deal breaker. She chose to go out the door two weeks ago and I have not seen her since. The weather is cold for a kitty who has never been an outdoor kitty. I doubt that she knows enough to hunt so I doubt that she has food.
I suspect her choice has cost her her life. I am so sorry to lose her. Try to make good choices. Every day we have the choice to be kind or indifferent. We have the choice to share our wealth or to keep it all for ourselves. We are fortunate to live in America but currently there are many poor choices being made. Choose wisely!
Scatter Kindness and Love. Be thankful every day. You have a choice.
