Judith Ann Worman

84, of Macomb, formerly of Good Hope

Judith Ann Worman, 84, of Macomb, formerly of Good Hope passed away at 8:07 p.m. Friday, January 9,, 2026 at Wesley Village Healthcare Center in Macomb.

She was born on March 30, 1941 in Good Hope to Russell and Lois Pendarvis Smith. She married Robert Worman on May 26, 1963. They were inseparable during their 62 year marriage. He passed away on March 10, 2025.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Clay Becker.

Judy is survived by two daughters, Emma L. McKinnon and S. Kate (Chris) Becker both of Petersburg; two grandchildren, Jaime McKinnon and Anderson Poulter and two great-grandchildren, Damien and Jason Curry.

Judy was a graduate of Bushnell High School. She received a degree in education from Western Illinois University. She went back to WIU in 1987 and earned her Master’s Degree. Her education career was spent at Abingdon Jr. High School where she taught math and natural science for 28 years. She thoroughly enjoyed her lively students and the camaraderie of her fellow educators.

Deeply rooted in the rural community of Good Hope, Judy was always very proud of her agrarian ancestry. In 1981, she and Bob established residence in the home built by her great-grandfather. They lived there for many happy years. Visitors were always greeted with immaculate landscaping, a smartly appointed home, and the aroma of homemade apple pie. All friends and family were warmly welcomed, especially the grandkids. Their hospitality followed them to Wesly Village in 2020 where they contently lived their remaining years.

Judy was a pragmatic, logical person which was evident in her career, but she had a keen eye for color and design that was reflected in her sewing, quilting, knitting, flower gardening and stained glass artistry.

She was well respected and loved by members of her church, community, and most especially her family. She was a generous, nurturing, loving mom and grandma who treasured the time spent with the people she loved. She will be truly missed.

Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services.

Memorials may be made to the Good Hope United Methodist Church.
