The Illinois Sheriff's Association Scholarship applications for 2026-2027 are now open, with McDonough County Sheriff and President of the Illinois Sheriff's Association Nick Petitgout awarding a $500 scholarship to a student within McDonough County.
The scholarships, are available for all students pursuing any path of studies and can be used toward tuition, fees and books, are awarded to students who are full-time college students at an Illinois accredited institution and who are attending full time during the 2026-2027 academic year.
Applications are available at the McDonough County Sheriff's Office, 110 S. McArthur St., Macomb, or online at ilsheriff.org/youth-2. Students must return the application and all supporting materials to the sheriff's office by March 13.
