Due to scheduling issues, the MCS has postponed the first spring rehearsal until 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2026 at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb, Illinois.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused but we look forward to seeing everyone at that time.
For any of you that are thinking about joining the group, but are hesitant, why not make this a New Year’s resolution?
We rehearse every Monday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There are openings for all voice parts with no auditions; the ability to read music and a love of singing are the only requirements. If transportation is an issue, we may be able to help with accommodations. Bring a buddy and be prepared to make new friends.
The spring concert, “An American Celebration” will be held April 27, 2026 and will feature beautiful choral music by American composers including Aaron Copland, Stephen Foster, Stacey Gibbs, Undine Smith Moore, Randall Thompson, and Eric Whitacre. Sing your way into the New Year and be a part of the celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary!
