Line up. Get your paintbrushes pointed and steady. On your mark, get set, paint! The Macomb Arts Center (MAC) 2026 Battle of the Brushes is just around the corner. This year’s annual event will be held on Saturday, January 24, at the gallery (25 East Side Square in Macomb).
Just like art, the weather is unpredictable and ever-changing—no two days, or paintings, are ever exactly alike. To highlight this creative connection, the MAC is excited to announce that celebrity artist and WGEM meteorologist and storm chaser, Jesse Risley, will join this year’s competition, bringing their unique perspective from both the worlds of weather and art.
