Sharing Winter Break Memories

The most memorable moment for the holiday was when I went to my grandma’s house with my mom and siblings and we opened our presents, and our uncle came with our aunt and our cousin. The reason this stood out the most is because I was with my family. I am also very grateful they came to see and that we all could spend time together. La’Montae G.

I spent my holiday in our town by hanging out with local friends and family.

I also went shopping and went out to eat with friends. I stayed home and watched family movies with my family while eating snacks from the store. I drew pictures with my sibling so we could hang them up around the house. I had sleepovers with my friends so I could hangout with them more.

My favorite activity was going around town and admiring all the decorations. Reagan T.

I spent my winter break in town for most of the time. I went out of town a couple of times. I went to Burlington, Iowa to meet my sister at Fun City to exchange gifts for Christmas. I also went up to the Quad Cities to see my other sister for her birthday. I spend a lot of time at home, too. I built Legos that I got for Christmas and play video games with my brother. There was wrestling practice, so I went to it a few times. My winter break was good. I got to see my family and build Legos, and just relax. Brady G.

My most memorable moment over holiday break was making hoodies with my best friend Anne. I could do anything with her, and it would be fun.

It stood out to me because we could spend so much time together, but we never do anything in the crafts category. Another reason why this stood out to me is because its something that could represent our friendship. Over break I also realized that I’m so incredibly grateful for someone like that in my life. Avery P.

My most memorable moment during the holiday season was going to the Chiefs game. It was on Christmas Day and it was a night game. It stands out to me because it was with my family and my cousins.

It was also Travis Kelce’s last home game in his NFL career. We had lots of fun and we had hot chocolate like the whole day. The car ride there was far. I watched movies on my phone the whole time. Jack K.

I spent my holiday in our community spending time with my family and friends. I spent most of my time with my family because its important that you get to enjoy the time you get to spend with them before you can’t. I also went shopping with my sister and grandma. My sister and I always go shopping with our grandpa before Christmas to get gifts for our family. We went to 309, then we went to the jewelry store, and then Farm King. We had so much fun spending the day with our grandpa. Cain B.

My most memorable moment during winter break was when I went to Chicago with my family.

We took the train to and back from Chicago we did a lot of fun stuff. We stayed at a famous hotel, went shopping, and ate at famous local restaurants. It stood out because it was my first time taking the train. Also, that was the time I spent quality time with family.

I spent my winter break in Macomb by eating at Chicks with family members. I also went to the movie theater in Macomb and watched a movie with my friends. My favorite activity that I did was going to the YMCA and shooting around. Another activity I did was taking my dogs on a walk. I went to Washington Street gym and played basketball there, too. Lucie E.

The most memorable moment during my holiday was when my older brother and I went snowboarding.

Toby, my brother, and I could go down the slopes without falling and we could also get off from the ski lift without falling. He taught me different ways to go down the slope; we would go down first at an angle to lose some speed and then would turn straight to fly down the slope. Going snowboarding with Toby was the most memorable moment because we had fun, we didn’t fall like last time we went, and because we did it together. Kandice R.

My most memorable moment of the holiday was sleeping in and not waking up for school! I spend my holiday in town with family and friends at home.

Morgan L.

The most memorable moment from break was hanging out with my grandparents, cousins, and my whole family. I chose this because I am busy with sports and my siblings always have a game. It was just nice to spend time as a family without worrying about sports or school for a week. We ate dinner together, opened presents, baked cookies, and just hung out. Hattie K.
