Hello Friends – Happy New Year! And no, it’s not too late to wish a Happy New Year! I do it the entire month of January. It’s kind of like the first day of the new school year – but it’s the first month of the new clean slate for everyone, not just those affiliated with school. I don’t necessarily do resolutions but try to have a word or phrase for the year to gauge my living by. This year I have chosen patience. This is something that I haven’t had on occasion and something I need to work on. What about you – do you make a resolution or have a word or phrase to work on throughout the year?

Has your house been hit with the flu or whatever is going around? We have gotten the hit and is it not fun at all! Hoping everyone can keep their heads above water and struggle through it – this is nothing to kid about!
We got our cups filled over the holidays with our kiddos here from Texas! We had a small gathering of family and friends at The Depot and that was fantastic! Some of our sons’ friends came with their spouses and kiddos and what a dream to see our kids as parents! They are all so laid back and good and solid with the kids. I’m so impressed and proud of each one of them. I can remember when they were in Junior High and High School – and to see them now – what a true joy! And to hear our granddaughter’s voice as she sings and talks to us – what a gift! And the smile on our grandson’s face all the time! What a blessing!! Now I can’t wait for the next minute to be with them! Hopefully soon!
Although the weather has been crazy good – it can still dump bad weather quickly. If you need a warming station because of a turn in the weather – remember the Bushnell Recreation Center is available for you to stop in and warm up and gather yourself if needed.
