Every year, the GFWC Macomb Woman’s Club, which is a service organization, hosts a Make a Difference Day. The purpose of this event is to generate items that two organizations need; the Samaritan Well, a homeless shelter, and the Animal Shelter. This can be laundry detergent, paper towels, pet food, etc. We provide persons that are entering Hy-Vee with a list of items and shoppers can decide if they wish to participate by purchasing and donating any of these items or leave a cash donation. GFWC Macomb Woman’s Club volunteers will be present to distribute information sheets, collect items, and deliver to the two organizations at the end of the day.
As in year’s past, Hy-Vee has graciously allowed the Woman’s Club to conduct this event. This year, the event is scheduled for Saturday, January 17th and the members will be collecting items/donations from 10am until 2pm.
