The Macomb High boys swim team returned to the pool last week, beginning the 2026 portion of its schedule.
On Jan. 3, the team headed to Pekin to swim in the 53rd annual Downstate 8 Relays.
The Bombers finished seventh out of eight teams with a score of 41 points.
Dunlap won top team honors with a score of 96 points.
Chatham-Glenwood was next with
72 points, followed by the Metamora coop (69), Rock Guilford (55), Pekin
(53), Champaign Centennial (51), Macomb and Urbana (38).
