The Bushnell-Prairie City High School girls basketball team split its final two games to finish seventh at the 14th annual Lee Westerman Princeville Holiday Tournament at Princeville.
After dropping their opening contest to host Princeville 57-25 on Dec. 26, the Spartans faced Farmington the following day in consolation semifinal competition.
The Farmers posted a 58-50 victory, improving to 4-8 on the season.
Farmington led 13-8 after the opening quarter on the way to building a 32-21 halftime advantage.
The Spartans outscored the Farmers 16-13 to climb within 45-37 entering the final eight minutes, but were unable to complete the comeback as both teams scored 13 points in the last stanza.
Jules Kreps and Justice Klinedinst topped B-PC with 13 points and 12 points respectively.
Kendyl McCleery and Mylee Chenoweth added nine points each, followed by Scarlett Countryman with five points and Jersey Jones with four.
Action concluded at the tournament Monday with B-PC facing Peoria Heights for seventh place.
The Spartans grabbed an 18-15 halftime lead and hung on for a 41-37 win.
B-PC improved to 3-10 on the season, while Peoria Heights remained winless, slipping to 0-13.
The Spartans trailed 11-10 after the first frame before outscoring the Patriots 8-4 in the second period in taking an 18-15 lead at intermission.
Both teams scored 12 points in the third quarter, leaving B-PC with a 30-27 advantage heading into the last quarter.
The Spartans outscored the Patriots 11-10 in the final eight minutes to hang on for the victory.
Kreps and McCleery paced B-PC with 15 and 11 points respectively.
Chenoweth added five points, while Countryman and Klinedinst scored four points each.
Lilly Griffitts and Jones each chipped in one free throw.
Next up for B-PC will be games against Midwest Central/Delavan at Manito on Jan. 6 and home against North Fulton on Jan. 8.
