The Macomb High boys wrestling squad headed to Springfield Monday and Tuesday for two days of competition at ABE’s Rumble.
The 60-team event features squads split into 12 pools of five teams each who wrestle in a round-robin format.
The teams are then placed into gold, silver, bronze and copper divisions based on their results in pool competition.
The Bombers posted an
0-4 record in their pool.
MHS was defeated by Sherrard (48-30), Lawrenceville (61-15), Leroy
(48-33) and Newman Central Catholic (65-6).
In the bronze division, Macomb received an opening- round bye.
The Bombers then were defeated by Farmington (42--
32) and Deer Creek-Mackinaw
(54-24) and Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin (36--
27).
