Ruth M. Schoeber of Macomb, Illinois, died early Monday, December 22, 2025 in Macomb, under the care of MDH Hospice and Wesley Village.
Ruth was born in Granite City, Illinois, on October 4, 1940, to Herman and Marie (Noud) Schoeber. She married Robert Diamond in 1958. He predeceased her. She married John Sekora, and together they had Jay Sekora, now of Quincy, Mas sachusetts, and Bevin Sekora, now of Durham, North Carolina. John predeceased her. She later married Donald H. Johnson. He predeceased her. Others who survive her besides her chil dren Jay and Bevin are her son-in-law Sean Dowdall, her son’s life partner Mare Freed, her grandchildren Rider and Genesis Dowdall, her brothers Herman Schoeber III and Robert J.
Schoeber, and other members of a large family. In accordance with her wishes there will be no service.
