“In case you forget how amazing you are, this is your reminder”. Each of us needs a positive reminder once in a while!
Because I sometimes order from catalogs, I get lots of catalogs. One of my favorites is “Bits and Pieces”. Was looking through it this fall and found a Lucite heart with pretty flowers and this reminder. Thought it would be a great Christmas gift so I bought four. The print was not great on one so I kept it. Sometimes I need a boost too. We have a small family gift exchange so I put one of these in my present. One of my great nephews received it and I found he could not read cursive because the message is in cursive.
Well, I tried!
Heavy on quotes tonight but this stood out in yesterday’s reading. “Truth be told, there is no better compliment in life than for someone to want to be with us.” I think that is very true. The gift of one’s time is one of the best gifts we can give each other. Forget the expensive gift-give the gift of your time.
Though it does not seem like it this week as the days have been gray and foggy, the days are actually getting longer.
Don’t know about you but I am ready for spring. I love the rebirth of the earth. Love green trees, flowers and long sunny days. I will forget that spring may also bring storms.
Had seven for Christmas dinner. Turkey, dressing, potatoes, gravy, cranberries, green bean casserole, cheese cake and more. Nice to have family to share holidays.
Stopped by the bank on Tuesday morning and they had a big tray of home-made cookies. Had a mini pecan pie-really cute and very yummy. Thank you. Also stopped by Ramsey Financial in Bowen to drop off some things to shred and to pick up a big calendar for my store. Living in a rural area has a lot of advantages for me.
Sal spent his first afternoon in his Christmas present from Puff. I think he actually enjoyed the time in the great outdoors. The coop has an open part and an enclosed portion. I put food, water, a litter tray and a soft rug bed in the enclosed portion. Don’t think he went into that part. As there is a door for each part of the coop, I tried putting him in the enclosed portion the next time I took him out. I do not know why but he exploded and did not want to be put in there so put him in the open portion again. Each time I bring him in, I now have him come in through the enclosed part hoping he will no longer be afraid of it.
Finally had customers at the store on Saturday. Very slow December even though I have loads of things that would make great gifts. Thank You Saturday shoppers.
This is the last week of 2025. Know it was a good year for some and undoubtedly not a good year for others. May 2026 be a great year for each of us. Continue to scatter Kindness and Love.
