The Bushnell-Prairie City High School girls basketball team kicked off holiday tournament play at Princeville Friday morning, dropping a 57-25 decision to the hosts.
The Princes strolled out to a 17-6 lead after the opening eight minutes as Sahara Streitmatter scored eight points.
B-PC’s Justice Klinedinst and Jersey Jones each sank 3-pointers for the Spartans.
Princeville outscored B-PC 14-2 in the second period in building a 31-8 halftime advantage.
Laurynn Bowers scored nine points for Princeville, while Klinedinst scored B-PC’s lone basket.
The Princes outscored the Spartans 19-9 in the third stanza in building a 50-17 lead heading into the last frame.
Bowers scored 10 points in the period for Princeville, while Jules Kreps scored five for B-PC.
Kreps led the way for the Spartans with 11 points, all coming in the second half.
Jones and Klinedinst added five points each, followed by Mylee Chenoweth with four points, shooting 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
Bowers topped Princeville (10-4) with 26 points, 24 in the final three quarters. Streitmatter added 12 for the Princes.
Dropping into consolation play, B-PC dropped a 58-50 decision against Farmington (4-8) on Saturday.
B-PC (2-10) was set to wrap up tournament play Monday morning, facing Peoria Heights (0-12) for seventh place.
