The Bushnell-Prairie City High School girls basketball team concluded the pre-holiday portion of its schedule Monday, dropping a 66-10 Prairieland Conference South Division contest to visiting Illini West.
The Chargers improved to 3-7 overall, 1-0 in division play. B-PC slipped to 2-8 overall, 0-2 in Prairieland South contests.
B-PC’s Justice Klinedinst scored the game’s first basket, but the Spartans did not score the remainder of the opening eight minutes.
Meanwhile, Illini West got seven points from Lanie Housewright and five from Adelyn Carlisle in rolling out to a 20-2 lead.
The second period saw nine different Charger players combine for 19 points. Meanwhile, the Spartans managed just a Scarlett Countryman free throw in falling behind 40-3 at halftime.
