Puff got an early Christmas present today. Just over three years ago, Prince Harry, my last Maine Coon kitty was old and not well so I grabbed a beautiful feral kitten at the store.

Had to farm her out for a while but when Harry passed, I brought her home. She became quite lovely, long blond fluffy hair and a sweet personality. This year I decided she needed a friend so got a cute little female kitten from my neighbor and named it Baby Sally. After a while it became evident that Baby Sally was not the correct name for this kitten and he became Sal. Even after neutering, Sal is an obnoxious brat as I now think many orange cats are. He constantly aggravates Puff. Noses her out of her food, chases her, if I’m trying to pet her, he jumps over her and on and on. So, Sal gets time outs in the bathroom when I am home and Puff needs a break. Saw a chicken coop in a Farm King ad and it looked ideal for a time out building for Sal. My nephews, Roger and Curtis, assembled it today. It is really cute and it is Puff’s favorite Christmas present. She looks forward to being able to look out the door and see Sal in it unable to aggravate her. Merry Christmas Puff!

Thanks to the wonderful person who scraped my drive last Sunday afternoon.

Got all my Christmas cards sent this week. Also got to Macomb for groceries and got heated water bowls as well as the coop. Had my yearly health check, fed a lot of birds and finally heard from a friend who stays here a lot when hunting or working his land. He has had some serious health issues but is doing better. Prayers for healing.

We had an early morning storm on Thursday but it cleared up and was fairly warm so I removed the sunflower stalks in front of the store. Think the finches had eaten all the seeds by now.
