
Linda Z. Shaw, 78, of Macomb passed away at 5:27 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born in Macomb on April 1,1947 to Robert Lyle and Barbara Ellen Wickert Parry. She married Gail Scott on January 8, 2016. She survives. They were together for 43 years.
Also surviving are one daughter, Neisha Shaw of Macomb; grandchildren, Koby (Austin Lundgren) Gooden of El Paso, Texas and Rana (Tucker Wilson) Gooden of Niota; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews and special friends, Debra Williams and Christy Horton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Robert Walters, who helped raise her; brothers, Dan and Jimmy “Jap” Parry and sister-in-law, Lisa Parry. Linda lived most of her adult life in Macomb. She was a graduate of VIT High School and Graham School of Nursing in Canton. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Heartland Healthcare, the Elms Nursing Home and MDH in Macomb.
She formerly played as a drummer in the band Baby Blue, enjoyed slow pitch softball and was an avid WIU softball and Macomb Magic fan and enjoyed gardening and music. Her daughter and grandchildren were her life.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Graveside services will be in Ipava Cemetery at a later date.
