The Bushnell-Prairie City High School girls basketball team returned to the win column on Wednesday, defeating the Illinois School for the Deaf 47-14 in non-conference play.
The Spartans seized command early as Jules Kreps and Kendyl McCleery combined for 14 points in the opening eight minutes. That helped B-PC roll out to a 19-2 lead.
The home team added to its lead in the second period, outscoring the visiting Tigers 15-4 in building a 34-6 halftime advantage.
B-PC led 45-13 heading into the final stanza.
Kreps finished with a game-high 17 points for B-PC.
Justice Klinedinst and Jersey Jones added eight points each, while McCleery and Scarlett Countryman chipped in five points apiece.
Lilly Griffitts rounded out the Spartans scoring with four points.
B-PC improved to 2-6 on the season with the win.
The Spartans were slated to head to Beardstown Friday for a make-up contest that was originally scheduled for Dec. 1, but was postponed by weather.
The Spartans have another make-up contest Monday, hosting Illini West in a Prairieland South Division contest that was originally scheduled for Dec. 15, but postponed.
