The Macomb High boys swim team returned to the pool Monday, heading to Galesburg for dual meet competition.
The host Silver Streaks defeated the Bombers 143-35.
Eight swimmers made the trip for MHS including two sophomores and six freshmen. Four of the participants for Macomb were novice swimmers.
Results for the Bombers included the following.
One-meter diving - No entries.
200-yard medley relay - MHS (Owen Haley, Alaric Gordon, Jairon Royer and Reed Lytle), third, two minutes, 13.61 seconds.
200 freestyle - Gordon, second, 2:20.53.
200 individual medley - Royer, third, 2:48.38.
50 freestyle - Landon Richards, third, 34.17; Ethan Sherwood, fifth,
47.04 and Bentley Rutledge, sixth, 1:09.22.
100 butterfly - Royer, fourth, 1:11.01.
100 freestyle - Lytle, second, 1:00.41 and Ray Phillips, fourth, 1:20.28.
500 freestyle - Haley, third, 6:48.67.
200 freestyle relay - MHS (Rutledge, Sherwood, Richards and Gordon), third, 3:02.16.
100 backstroke - Phillips, fourth, 1:40.12.
100 breaststroke - Lytle, fourth,
1:22.62; Gordon, fifth, 1:33.59 and Haley, sixth, 1:34.20.
400 freestyle relay - MHS (Richards, Phillips, Royer and Lytle), second, 4:55.30.
The Bombers were scheduled to host Rock Island H.S. for a dual meet on Thursday before heading to Bloomington Saturday to swim in the BHS Invitational. --
