B-PC Girls Drop Road Contest At Elmwood

The Bushnell-Prairie City High School girls basketball team returned to action on Dec. 11, traveling to Elmwood for a Prairieland Conference crossover contest.

The host Trojans outscored B-PC in each period on the way to recording a 34-23 victory.

Elmwood improved to 6-4 on the season, while B-PC slipped to 1-6.

The Trojans led 6-3 after the opening eight minutes and held a 12-8 advantage at halftime.

Elmwood outscored B-PC 10-4 in the third period, building a 22-12 lead heading into the final quarter of play.

Jules Kreps topped B-PC with nine points, while Justice Klinedinst added six points.

Jersey Jones scored four points, while Kendyl McCleery and Mylee Chenoweth chipped in two points each for the Spartans.

Andrea Glenn topped Elmwood with 17 points. Brooke Allen and Emily Anderson added six points apiece, followed by Natalie Bobcock with four points and Mackenzie Caulkins with one point.

The Spartans were slated to return to action Monday hosting Illini West in a Prairieland Conference South Division contest.

B-PC is scheduled to host Illinois School for the Deaf on Wednesday before heading to Beardstown on Friday in a contest that was previously postponed by wintry weather.
