TUESDAY After School Program Blandinsville First Christian Church After School Program for Kindergarten through High School students from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

SATURDAYS Life Skills Program Blandinsville First Christian Church Life Skills Program for 5th grade through High School students from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon on the third Saturday of each month.

Story Hour and Crafts Saturdays at The Blandinsville-Hire Library at 10 AM.

Snacks will be available. Check out the many new kids and young adult books. Spend some time at the library and take a book home to read!

SUNDAY Youth Group Blandinsville First Christian Church Youth Group for 5th grade through High School students from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

Bushnell

DEC. 20 Bushnell Library Story/Craft Event from 10:30-11:30 and the story will be with Mrs. Claus, we will have Christmas cookies, and a Christmas craft.

Drop & Shop Movie Night Drop the kids off from 6-10om at the VFW (181 E. Hail St.) for an exciting movie night & pizza party filled with fun and laughter with supervision ensuring your kids are entertained and safe. For children 1st grade and up and cost is $10/per child. Bring a blanket or pillow to get comfortable during the movie. Perfect timing for parents to finish shopping or enjoy some relaxing time before the holidays begin.

SATURDAY, JAN. 3 VFW Breakfast

The VFW in Bushnell will offer breakfast from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m at the Post 1422 Hall located at 181 E. Hail in Bushnell.

We provide on-site, takeout, and curb service, For takeout and curb service please call 3093339919. Eerving biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, hash browns, pancakes & French Toast.

FRIDAY, DEC. 12 Christmas Around the Prairie

Come celebrate Christmas Around the Prairie in Colchester.

There will be an Open House, soup supper, light parade and Santa and Mrs. Clause at the Lion’s Club and so much more!

Open house & Christmas Village display We hope you’ll have a chance to join us at the Iron Nail Brickyard Venue and Event Center in the Heart of Forgottonia! We will have an open house and Christmas Village display at 7pm for Christmas around the Prairie from 5-8 pm

FRIDAY DEC 12TH Prairie Land Conservancy Talk Join Prairie Land Conservancy virtually from 12-1pm for an educational talk about bat conservation with Dr. Joy O’Keefe! Register on PLC’s website for the zoom link.

SATURDAY, DEC. 13 Indoor Winter Farmers Market from 8:30 to Noon in the American Legion Hall (on E. Washington between S. Randolph & S. Campbell, behind the Post Office). We'll have fresh local produce; homemade baked goods; local honey, jam, & syrup; ready-to-eat meals; locally made personal care products; hand-crafted goods & gifts made by local artisans & artists; on-site knife-sharpening; and more! Word is, Santa may pay a visit to the Photo Booth! (Next month's Winter Market will be held on Jan. 17th.)

SUNDAY, DEC. 14 Festival of Lessons and Carols

St Paul’s Women’s Guild invites all to the St Paul Church at 4 pm for a program that weaves together Scripture, carols, and prays, reflecting on the Fall, the promise of the Messiah, and the joy of Christ’s birth. Refreshments and fellowship will follow in the narthex. There is no charge and all are welcome.

DECEMBER 15 & 16 Macomb Schools Band Concerts The Macomb high School Band Concert will be held Dec. 15 and the Macomb Middle School Band Concert is planned for Dec. 16 both at 7pm in Fellheimer Auditorium.

The Wine Sellers Looking for something to do this weekend? Join us Friday, December 12 when we’ll have Dennis DeVolder and again on Saturday, December 13 for The House Cats. Music plays from 5:30-7:30pm both nights. Hope to see you there!

Western IL Museum's Our Front Porch Get into the holiday spirit at the Western Illinois Museum’s Sounds of the Season: Songs and Stories, in partnership with the Western Illinois University School of Music and the Community Music School, on Sunday, December 14th, from 1:00 to 3:30 PM. The Museum’s cozy indoor Our Front Porch will come alive with seasonal music, storytelling, holiday treats, and the chance to join in caroling. Come for a little while or stay for the whole afternoon, our family-friendly festivities are the perfect way for all ages to celebrate the season together.
