Bushnell Woman’s Club met Monday, December 8 at Tellers for monthly meeting and Christmas party. Hostesses were Carolyn English, Sheena Boden and Karen Cameron.
JoEllen Pensinger, president, called the meeting to order with thirteen ladies answering the question “What are your Christmas plans?' Jada Wetzel gave the secretary's report and Ruth Ann McGrew gave the treasurer's report, both were accepted as read.
Gayla Sullivan reported that Martha Sweeny was in the Elms and admitted into Hospice.
Committee reports were given with Laura Chaffee reporting she and Vicki Reimolds helped with Santa time at the Library on Saturday, December 8. They helped the children make snow globes and read them a story about snow globes.
Gayla Sullivan reported a very successful cookie/candy sale at the VFW Holiday Craft show on Sunday December 7.
The ladies decided to donate money to BAMA and will be taking food items, bottled drinks, paper products, feminine items to their meeting in February to be donated to BAMA.
Cindy Ridle was welcomed as a new member.
The hostesses served hot cocoa, tea, coffee, punch and water along with cookies, cheese and meat tray, holiday chex mix and candy. While enjoying refreshment, the ladies played a very fun game of Christmas Trivia presented by JoEllen Pensinger. The ladies were divided into three teams of four, Fudgie girls, Lady Elves and Mistletotes. Fudgie girls and Mistletotes tied for first place. All the ladies went home with some very interesting prizes and gifts. Merry Christmas!
