Festive Weekend Highlights Around Macomb

The past weekend, both Macomb and Bushnell communities held their annual holiday events including Dickens On The Square, and Bushnell Extravaganza and Light Parade. 

 

Santa and his helpers arrived in Macomb Friday evening on The Polar Express
Prancer is a Dickens tradition, making the trek from Donnellson, IA every year.
John Graham of Parnassus Antiques & Curios performed holiday music during Dickens.
Santa and his elves left their sleigh at home for a trip to Macomb on The Polar Express during Friday's Dickens' activities.
A Tuba Christmas at the Western Illinois Museum.
Knocking 'em down at the North Pole Village sponsored by the McDonough County United Way.
Mrs. Claus & Santa traveled from the North Pole to City Hall.
The annual St. Paul Cookie Walk is a Dickens favorite.
David Quesal and his many friends have been making Dickens a little brighter for nearly 20 years.
The Sugar Plum Fairy had her troupe out on force for Dickens at JBee Designs.
Amanda Silberer and Carrie Depoy were set up to help little shoppers find fun gifts for family and friends.

 

Nancy Chu and Stasia Bath handed out sugar plums and showcased a Civil War era tree at the Western Illinois Museum.
The Macomb Wal-Mart is a sponsor of Mrs. Schisler's LincolnSchool classroom as part of the Adopt-A-Classroomprogram at the Macomb elementary school, and as part ofthat partnership, the class is making "toppers" for the localstore. Here's a special holiday topper made by eight-yearoldPaxtyn. The students are helping the Macomb storespread holiday cheer with their artwork.
