On Dec. 3, 2025 the Macomb Police Department received a walk-in report from a citizen regarding suspicious circumstances. The party reported hearing a loud noise the previous evening followed by drywall debris landing on him while he was in bed. An inspection of his apartment in the daylight revealed a hole in the wall and a projectile lying on the nearby floor. Macomb PD personnel obtained a search warrant for the neighboring apartment. The search warrant revealed a stolen handgun and high-capacity magazine. Subsequent investigation indicated the bullet originated from that apartment. A juvenile male was placed under arrest for multiple charges due to his involvement in this matter: - Possession of a Stolen Firearm - Possession of Firearm without a FOID card - Possession of Ammunition without a FOID card - Reckless Discharge of a Firearm All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
