89, of Macomb

Shirley Ann Carle, 89, of Macomb, Illinois, passed away at 5:05 a.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Wesley Village Healthcare Center in Macomb.

She was born September 27, 1936, in Macomb to Ted and Garnet (Kitch) Roth. She married Lowell “Jack” Carle on December 23, 1954. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2019.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Tim) Foxall of Macomb; her grandchildren, Kayla Brewer and Bria (Aaron) Snowden; her great-grandson, Braxton Hall; and her sister, Janet (Lowell) Armstrong of Macomb.

She graduated from Macomb High School in 1954 and spent her career serving the community through her work at Purdum Insurance, the McDonough County Health Department, and the Everly House. Shirley was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Macomb Kiwanis Club.

Funeral services were held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home. Pastor Don Long Jr. officiated. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery.
