Five, four, three, two, one … brighten the community!
Wesley Village's annual 'Lights of Love' will kick off at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1. with a 'lighting ceremony.'
Each year, families, organizations and individuals can honor someone special in their lives by sponsoring a 'Lights of Love' tree, which line the drive around 1200 E. Grant throughout the month of December.
Wesley Village residents, their families and friends and tree sponsors are invited to the Dec. 1 tree lighting ceremony. To attend the ceremony, RSVP by calling (309) 833-2123.
'By purchasing a tree for someone you want to acknowledge in your life, your tree will shine brightly, symbolizing love, hope and cherished memories,' said Wesley Village Foundation Director Lisa Ward. 'You can add your own touches to make the tree uniquely yours and represent the person you are honoring.'
Approximately 225 live trees are installed from the north end of the main drive to the southeast side of the drive in front of the retirement center. This year's proceeds will go toward the new Assisted Living suites for the needs of the community, Ward added.

'The support behind this campaign reminds our residents that they are surrounded by a community that truly cares. The lights brighten our campus in honor or in memory of so many wonderful friends of Wesley.'
