The Macomb Beautiful Association is hosting its sixth annual Cookie Walk on Saturday November 22nd from 9 a.m. to noon at the Macomb Arts Center on the east side of the Square. According to MBA president Barb Knox, “This has been a successful way to raise the funds needed to purchase the hundreds of flowers we plant in the city every season. To avoid conflicts with other groups, we think scheduling right before Thanksgiving is an excellent time as friends and families come together.”
Members of Macomb Beautiful will be offering a wide variety of tasty homemade cookies and candy sold by the pound.
A wide variety of cakes, pies, breads, and other specialty items will be priced individually. Some favorites include bundt cakes, pecan and fruit pies, thumbprint cookies, decorated sugar cookies, fudge, biscotti, and so many more tempting delicacies.
You will find other unique items like homemade pet treats!
We are again offering a Silent Auction of two gift baskets donated by Teresa Kepple of be Youtiful Skin Care Studio ($200 gift certificate for each basket) with homemade hand and body products and gifts donated by Carolyn and Tonya from Front Porch Soap and Gifts of Lewistown. Macomb Beautiful is a volunteer group of civic minded residents of Macomb who work to enhance the beauty of the city of Macomb. For over five decades, they have planted thousands of flowers and dozens of trees in the community, subsidized and decorated Chandler Park and the Amtrak station for Christmas, and honored many Macomb citizens with memorial trees and benches.
