Cora Waters-Trajniar, the daughter of Erin Fischer, Ian Fischer, and Elton Trojniar, has been named the MidAmerica National Bank Senior of the Month for November 2025.
Cora is very involved at school; she is on the concert band, marching band, prep band, and jazz band. Cora is also on the math team, scholastic bowl, science olypiad, ping pong club, soccer team, cross country, interact club, and theater.
Cora has earned many awards during her high school years, including the AP scholar award, most improved award in cross country, BHM essay runner up, ILMEA state musician, and high musicianship.
Community involvement is also very important to Cora.
She volunteers at the animal shelter, gives music lessons, is a member of the Quincy area youth orchestra, municipal band, community music school, and WIU orchestra.
During her free time, Cora enjoys playing the French horn, reading, and listening to music. Cora work history includes residential painting, minor construction, and yard and landscape maintenance.
Following graduation, Cora plans to attend a 4-year university and double major in Music Education and Mathematics, she eventually wants to get her PhD in music and teach. As the November Senior of the Month, Cora was presented a cash award of $100.00 and is eligible for the Senior of the Year Award in May 2026.
