Greetings from the Board of Directors of the Great River Honor Flight. We want to express our thanks and appreciation for your very generous donation of $9,026 from the annual Blandinsville cook out to support and honor our Veterans.
The Great River Honor Flight program was started locally on Veterans Day 2009 to show how grateful Americans are for when these brave men and women answered the call to defend and protect our nations' freedoms. Since its beginning over 2,500 local WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Gulf War Veterans have been part of our Honor Flight experience and have gone to Washington DC to see the memorials built in their honor and experience the gratitude Americans have for them.
Thanks to previous donations, we have completed 79 missions and 16 years of operation. Work is under way for planning the 2026 flights. That means your donation will go towards giving additional local veterans the opportunity to experience an Honor Flight.
