Samaritan Well, Inc. provides temporary, supportive, structured and safe housing with case management services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The Samaritan Well, Inc. ensures individuals and families basic needs for food, clothing and shelter are met while enrolled in the program. The Samaritan Well, Inc. operates two shelters, offering primarily private rooms, shared bathrooms, laundry facilities, kitchen space and recreational space.
Individuals and families can be enrolled in the program for at least 24 months, and can be referred through IRIS, by walk-in or by contacting office staff by phone at (309) 837-3357. The office is open 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Genesis Garden's goal is to eliminate homelessness (eliminate = rare, brief, nonrecurring). The organization offers emergency housing, rapid rehousing, eviction prevention, and related support services. Genesis Garden was founded out of a grassroots organization and operates with a strengths-focused, low-barrier-to-entry Housing First approach.
