88, of Macomb
Alice Jo Hodges, 88, of Macomb passed away at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.
She was born on July 3, 1937 in Rushville to R. Delbert and Sarah Florence Wheelhouse Wilson.
She is survived by one sister, Betty Lou Agans of Bushnell and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Russell “Jack” Wilson, Bob Wilson, Merle Wilson, Arden Wilson and Jim Wilson; one sister, Elnora Wilson Smith; her beloved pet, Tipper; brother and sisters-in-laws, and several nieces and nephews.
Alice has lived in Macomb since 1967. Before that she lived in Colchester and Bushnell. She worked at Oscar Drugs, TG&Y, Naomi Wilson Enrolled Agent and Wilson Tax and Bookkeeping. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
She enjoyed animals, Elvis Presley movies, owls, family, puzzle books and she loved to work.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private graveside services will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2025 at the Macomb American Legion.
