Eros, philia, storge, ludus, pragma, agape, philautia, and mania—what do these eight words have in common? They represent different forms of love that everyone hopes to experience at some point in their lives. Western Illinois University’s Department of Theatre and Dance brings these eight unique forms of Greek love to life in “Love Is Love Is Love Is,” running Thursday through Sunday at Simpkins Theatre. Enjoy four performances at 7:30 p.m. from Thursday to Saturday, along with two matinee shows on Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
Under Donald Laney's guidance, each performance uses movement, music and emotion to explore the crazy little thing we call love and how it shapes our lives. Tickets are available now—$5 for general admission and free for WIU students with a valid ID.
