The weather may not have been so good for campfire food, but those who came for the Friends Feeding Friends meal still found plenty of grilled hot dogs and s’mores, with over 130 hot dogs served. There was plenty of food and fellowship, and even a few Halloween-ish scary stories (from the Bible, no less!). What few leftovers remained were given to the Food Pantry and to the Bushnell Baptist Church for their Wednesday night kids program. A portion of the proceeds are designated to be given to support Honor Flights in our area, with a special donation to the Food Pantry. Thanks again go to the Marshalltown employees for help in set-up and take-down for the meal.
All are invited on November 25th for ham, side dishes and dessert at the “Thankful It’s Not Turkey” meal!
