I really enjoyed Halloween this weekend. We carved pumpkins, went trick or treating, and I even managed to give myself a stomach ach from all the chocolate. I dressed up as a character called Chopper and went door to door until trick or treating was over. I was very tired and slept for about 12 hours. Knox J.
In Macomb there is a Halloween cheer. Lovely people give kids some candy when it is dark outside and kind of cold. But I got a whole bucket of candy by the end of the night. We even got hot coco, apple cider, glow sticks, and of course, candy. Halloween in town is fun! Nevaeh M.
I was trick -or-treating along and as I was leaving to go to a different house a girl complimented my costume. I said: “I like yours, too.” It is then that I realized it was one of my friends. We immediately said hi and stuff. Then we introduced our parents to each other who got along very well and we went trick or treating together. Later that weekend we went swimming together. I went trick or treating and I really enjoyed it. My custom was stitch onesie. On the 30th I handed out candy, then on the 31st I went trick or treating, but I went to Bushnell since that is where I lived before Macomb. I saw a lot of my friends from Bushnell.

I learned that during Halloween people enjoy exploring the town of Macomb. It feels as if you were a person from a fairy tale. People decorate their houses to give people a little scare and some candy. You will either get a trick or a treat when you visit someone’s house. Madison P.
