According to a release from Sheriff Nicholas M Petitgout, Chief Deputy Adam Cremer has announced he will retire from the McDonough County Sheriff’s Office effective November 15, 2025. Cremer began his career with the department as a part-time corrections officer on Oct. 23, 1999.
