On Friday, a long line of tractors, combines, and trucks stretched along Illinois Route 67 from Good Hope to Macomb to pay tribute to John Cook, a respected farmer, seed corn salesman, volunteer fireman and board member.
Cook along with wife Liz, built a loving family grounded in hard work, and community.
Cook was known throughout the area for his integrity and dedication to both.
The procession, with farm equipment lining the fields along the route, was a visible testament to the strong bonds that hold this rural community together.
Though difficult, moments like these reveal the strength and support of a small town, as neighbors come together to honor one of their own.
