There is nothing more revealing than witnessing someone capture their muse in its original form while skillfully crafting the artistic nuances that bring their work to life. You can experience this firsthand at the “A Year In Print” exhibit at Western Illinois University’s Garwood Hall.
Students Linda Wade, Del Egan, Alexis Miller, Ady Corkron, Maggie Long, Kaeden Wiersma, Austin Lagesse, Ash Derry, Grace Lessen, Molly Borth, Kieara Morey, Andrew Tomlinson, Claire DeGraaf, Rivers Ashton, Keeara Virag, Vanessa Ellis, Carolyn Foster, Kendra Hallberg, Jae Corales, Bailey McKean and Kaitlyn Mandel each showcase what a year of transformation looks like in their practice. Their work reflects a full-circle journey from absorbing knowledge as apprentices to becoming modern-day alchemists. Each piece resonates with an echo—a thought that persisted until its completion.
This exhibit won’t last long! Garwood Hall is located at 1 University Circle in Macomb. Admission is free.
