The McDonough County Democratic Central Committee (MCDCC) is pleased to announce a $500 donation to the Western Illinois Regional Council (WIRC) in support of Project Santa, a long-standing holiday initiative that provides gifts to local families in need.
Due to an unprecedented number of applicants this year, WIRC was forced to close applications on October 15. As a result, the organization is seeking additional support to meet the high demand and ensure every child in the program has a joyful holiday season.
“We are proud to help Project Santa continue this important tradition in our community,” said Belinda Carr, chair “The need is greater than ever, and we encourage others to join us in supporting local families this holiday season.”
WIRC is currently welcoming both financial contributions and volunteer help, particularly individuals willing to assist with holiday shopping. Those interested in volunteering or donating can contact WIRC at 309-837-2997 for more information.
