Jack Luther Garrett, 85, of Bushnell, Illinois, passed away at 1:33 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
He was born October 11, 1940, in Piedmont, Missouri, to Clorel Martin and Delia Anna (Leach) Garrett. Jack married Rolva Jean Runkle on January 18, 1963, at the Presbyterian Church in Prairie City, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Pam (Andy) Jackson of Bushnell, IL, and Angela (Jimmy) Dahmm of Bushnell, IL; six grandchildren, Alexis and Nicholas Hunter, Emily (Tyler) Ebey, Erin Jackson, Kassi and Geoff Groff; two great grandchildren, Josalynn Hunter and Kaison Groff; one brother, Charles (Marsha) Garrett of Bushnell, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ivalee Garrett; four brothers, Clorel Junior, William Joseph, James Donald, and Kenneth Edward Garrett; and a daughter, Amy Groff.
Jack was a 1960 graduate of Bushnell-Prairie City High School. Following graduation, he began working for the City of Bushnell as a lineman. In 1967, he joined NTN Bower, where he worked for more than 35 years before retiring in 2002.
