Macomb High School and the local community gathered Saturday, October 25, to unveil the Don Simpkins Weight Room and host an open house in his memory.
Shirley Simpkins Benson, Don Simpkins’ widow, was the guest of honor. She was joined by her children and longtime friends from Wesley Village as the school paid tribute to Don’s decades-long career at Macomb High.
Known for his encouragement, hard work, and heart, Don Simpkins left a lasting impact on generations of students and staff. His legacy continues to inspire those who walk the halls today.
Friends, family, and community members celebrated together, honoring a man whose influence extended far beyond the classroom.
